Setting

It is 1835, towards the end of the Georgian era and two years before a young Queen Victoria will become the monarch. King William IV is on the throne, Britain is in full thrall to industrialisation and the past few years have seen electoral reforms progress through Parliament. The Mundane population has grown substantially over the past few years and there has been almost constant change to their livelihoods. After the boom years of the Napoleonic wars (1805-1816), where labour was scarce and the economy was thriving under war effort, the 20 years since have been more uncertain economically and with upheaval ever more present.
